HumidX Plus Waterless Humidification

This humidifies without water. Yes, the ResMed Humidx Plus Waterless Humidification is designed to be compatible with the AirMini series. It gives patients the pleasure of moving around comfortably as it eliminates the requirement of carrying a bulky water chamber. The Humidx Plus is a stylish attachment that is simply designed for humidifying the CPAP air comfortably without needing any power or bulky humidifier. It uses Heat and Moisture Exchange (HME) technology that eases breathing processes and makes it feel as a more natural process.

ResMed has walked an extra mile to discover a technology that makes waterless humidification possible in the AirMini line of products. The Humidx Plus can be inserted between the vent and the patient’s mask as the technology avoids building the vent directly on the mask, instead it is built in the tube connector. While breathing, heat as well as moisture from the exhaling air is captured and stored on the HME’s tiny paper ridges. The heat and moisture is then used to humidify the air while breathing in. Currently, the Humidx works fine with the AirFit P10 for AirMini Nasal Pillow Masks and AitFit N20 nasal masks.
