The Philips Respironics Spring Loaded Valve is an essential component designed to prevent the backflow of water or oxygen from the breathing tube into BiPAP or CPAP machines when not in use. During CPAP operation, this valve allows airflow through the patient circuit. However, when pressure stops, it automatically seals to prevent any backflow, ensuring the safety and integrity of the system.

Note: This valve does not prevent water backflow from integrated humidifiers or humidifiers attached with a short coupler.
